Louis Armstrong International
Airport Concourse D
The mechanical design of this project
involved hydronic piping distribution
from the West Terminal plant addition,
plumbing, fire protection and HVAC
services. Additional plumbing and fire
protection systems were required at the
jet ways for the airplanes. Among the
many challenges in the mechanical design
was the ability of the HVAC system to
respond to the arrival and departure of
a large number of people in each of the
airline hold rooms over short time
durations.
